LONDON: Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother Dolores Aveiro has confessed in her autobiography that she wanted to abort the Portugal football captain when she was pregnant.
In her newly released book ‘Mae Coragem’ in Portugal on Friday, Aveiro claimed that, ‘I wanted to abort but the doctor didn’t support my decision.’
She further said that Ronaldo knew about this incident, “He told me when he found out, ‘Look mum, you wanted to abort and now I’m the one who’s pulling the purse-strings in the house’.”
In the present era Ronaldo is one of the best footballers of this
generation, he was the FIFA footballer of the year 2013 and helped
Spanish Giants Real Madrid to clinch their 10th UEFA Champions League
title but failed to deliver in the FIFA World Cup 2014 for Portuguese.
