Veteran actor Rajinikanth will be reprising the role for the sequel while Aamir has reportedly been in talks with the makers who have approached him to play the character of the villain in the film.
A source close to a leading tabloid added that a sequel was very much in order bearing in mind the overwhelming success of the original which paired Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opposite Rajinikanth.
The film marked the Indian cinema-debut of Legacy Effects, which was responsible for the film’s animatronics.
