Shahbaz Sharif says 2000 houses will be built in North Waziristan
BANNU: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while terming Zarb-e-Azb a battle for Pakistan’s security said 2000 houses and a hospital will be constructed in North Waziristan Agency.
Addressing the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) during his visit to the NWA affectees camp in Bakakhel, Shahbaz Sharif said a hospital will be built at a cost of Rs 1 billion in NWA besides a Danish school.
Flanked by Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed and Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehtab Ahmed Khan, the Punjab CM said he was himself monitoring the disbursement of cash among the IDPs. “Cash has been distributed among forty-thousand affected families while 14000 more families will be given Rs7000 each,” he added.
He said the sacrifices of the NWA victims will not go in vain and that the entire nation stood with the affectees at the time of their trial.
On the occasion, a briefing was given to the CM on the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb and steps being taken to facilitate the IDPs.
