Terrorists wanted to target PM House in Raiwind: report
LAHORE: The Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have moved forward report of operation against terrorists in Raiwind to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Geo News reported Saturday.
In the report, it is disclosed that the militants had an intention to target Prime Minister House besides carrying out terrorist activities on Youm-e-Ali and the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The report further says: “the terrorists perished in the Raiwind were part of a wide network and they had links with Al-Qaeda.” “Women are also part of this network.”
It is also stated that LEAs were getting close to busting this network and they have even got to the leader of the group.
Detonators, suicide jackets, provocative literature and maps of various places were also recovered from the site where terrorists were killed in Raiwind shootout, it added.
