KARACHI: After winning bronze medal in street child world cup in Brazil, now the Karachi boys made an impressive start at the Norway Football Youth Cup in Oslo as they defeated local club Lambertseter 1-0 in their first match on Sunday.
Street footballers are sponsored by Azad Foundation, as this time they participated in U19 competition and Currently they sit in second place with three points, behind local club Finnsnes IL Fotball.
In an interview, one of the footballers mother said that,” Ido not even know that in which country my son going to play, but i only know is that mu son is going to raise my country flag high”.
According to the Director of Azad Foundation, the teenager boys were invited by local Norwegian Pakistani community to show their ultimate skills and football talent.
This event would be the best for Pakistani teenagers because event will help them to show their talent and to represent Pakistan all over the world.
The Pakistan’s Street Child World Cup squad in Rio was a seven-member team; however, in the Norway Cup, Pakistan is competing in a full 11-a-side tournament.
